INKA TRAIL TREKKING ADVENTURE 7D / 6N
7 days / 6 nights Program ADVENTURE SALKANTAY MOUNTAIN INKA TRAIL

Day 1: 6:00 a.m. CUSCO, MOLLEPATA, MARKOKASA. Early in the morning we travel by bus to Mollepata, passing along the way the plain of Anta before descending into the Limatambo valle where we will stop to visit the ruins of Tarawasi. In Mollepata our trek begins and we will camp at Markokasa, where we will take our evening meal and spend the night.

Day 2: 7:00 a.m. MARKOKASA, CHOQUEKICLLA, SORAYPAMAPA. After breakfast we will walk to Choquekiclla, with fine views of the peaks of Salkantay and Humantay. We will camp at 4000 metres above sea level, where we will take our evening meal and spend the night.

Day 3: 7:00 a.m. SORAYPAMAPA, PAMPAJAPONESA, CANAL INCA. Today we will pass the by the foot of Salkantay, whose peak stands at 6721 metres above sea level, before descending to the Inca canal from where we will have a fantastic panoramic view of the region and where we will take our evening meal and camp for the night.

Day 4: 7:00 a.m. CANAL INCA, TRES PIEDRAS, LLULLUCHAPAMPA. Breakfast before beginning the day's walk, which will take us past the Paucarcancha towers before descending into the valleys of Cusichaca and Llulluchapampa. Evening meal and overnight camp.

Day 5: 6:00 a.m. Breakfast
7:00 a.m. Trek from Huayllabamba to Pacaymayo from where will we ascend to the pass at Warmihuañusca (4200 metres above sea level), crossing a beautiful forest of native qeuña trees. We will lunch on the way and camp in the Pacaymayo valley, where we will have our evening meal.
Evening meal and camping.

Day 6: 6:00 a.m. Breakfast
7:00 a.m. Trek from Pacaymayo to Wiñay Wayna of approximately 5 or 6 hours. On the way we will visit the archaeological complex at Runcuracay from where we will have an excellent view of the surrounding area as we have lunch, before continuing on to the archaeological sites of Sayacmarca, Phuyupatamarca and Wiñay Wayna, where we will make camp.
Evening meal and camping.

Day 7: 4:30 a.m. Breakfast.
5:00 a.m. A two hour walk to Intipunku above Machu Picchu, from where we will have a panoramic view of the citadel at sunrise. Two hour guided visit to the ruins and 3 hours free to explore the ruins unaccompanied. Bus to Aguas Calientes and group lunch at a local restaurant.
4:00 p.m. Return journey by train to Cusco.
