Español ANDEAN ROUTE PERU, BOLIVIA & ECUADOR
28 days / 27 nights. (Lima, Pisco, Nazca, Arequipa, Puno(Lake Titicaca), Copacabana, La Paz, Cusco, Puerto Maldonado RAinforest, Quito (Ecuador), Galápagos)
Day 1: Pick-up and transfer from airport to hotel in Lima.
Day 2: Breakfast at the hotel.
City tour, visiting the colonial and modern areas of the city and its museums. Lunch.
2:00 p.m. Travel by Royal Class bus from Lima to Pisco. Overnight hotel.
Day 3: Breakfast at the hotel.
8:00 a.m. Excursion to the Ballestas Islands and Paracas National Reserve. Lunch and transfer to Nazca, a journey of approximately two hours. Overnight hotel.
Day 4: Breakfast at the hotel.
10 a.m. Overflight of the NAZCA LINES. Duration about one hour. Lunch followed by visit to local museums.
7:00 p.m. Royal Class bus journey from Nazca to Arequipa.
Day 5: Breakfast at the hotel.
9:00 a.m. city tour of the White City of Arequipa, visiting the SANTA CATALINA CONVENT, CATHEDRAL, JESUIT CHURCH, SABANDIA MILL. Afternoon free. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6: Breakfast at the hotel.
8:00 a.m. Excursion to COLCA CANYON, visiting on the way indigenous communities, colonial churches and enjoying the area's natural beauty. Arrival in CHIVAY. Accommodation in a local hotel and visit to the thermal baths. Overnight hotel.
Day 7: Breakfast at the hotel.
Visit to CRUZ DEL CONDOR, to see the deepest section of the canyon and watch condors rise on the morning thermals. Return to Arequipa. Overnight at hotel.
Day 8: Midday transfer from hotel to airport for the 1:00 p.m. flight to JULIACA. Pick-up and visit to the CHULPAS at SILLUSTANI, transfer to hotel in the city of Puno for a welcome dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 9: Breakfast at hotel.
7:00 a.m. excursion on LAKE TITICACA visiting the floating UROS ISLANDS, TAQUILE ISLAND. Lunch included before return to Puno, arriving at about 5:00 p.m. Overnight at hotel in Puno.
Day 10: Breakfast.
7:30 a.m. Three hour bus journey to Copacabana
10:30 a.m. Arrival, transfer to hotel. Lunch.
12:30 p.m. Excursion on Lake Titicaca, visiting the Island of the Sun and indigenous communities. Return to Copacabana. Evening meal and overnight at hotel
Day 11: 8:00 a.m. Breakfast at hotel. Morning free for walk to Stations of the Cross, Cathedral of the Virgin of Copacabana and the beaches. Lunch.
1:00 p.m. Bus to La Paz. Approximately four hours along the shores of Lake Titicaca
4:00 p.m. Arrival in La Paz. Hotel accommodation. Evening meal not included.
Day 12: Breakfast at the hotel.
City tour, including the PLAZA SAN FRANCISCO, PLAZA MURILLO, WITCHES' MARKET and the VALLEY OF THE MOON. Afternoon free to explore the city and do some gift shopping. Overnight at hotel.
Day 13: Breakfast at the hotel.
8:00 a.m. Guided excursion by tourist bus to the most important archaeological site of the Bolivian highlands at the pre-Inca TIWANAKU. Lunch then return to LA PAZ by about 4:00 p.m. Overnight at hotel.
Day 14: Breakfast at the hotel.
8:00 a.m. Bus La Paz to Puno. Lunch on the way. Overnight in Puno hotel.
Day 15: 7:30 a.m. Tourist bus following the route of MANCO CAPAC to the Imperial City of CUSCO, visiting on the way the archaeological sites of PUCARA, RAQCHI and NATURAL THERMAL SPRINGS in the company of a specialist guide. Lunch during the trip. Arrival in CUSCO at about 5:00 p.m. Hotel accommodation, evening meal.
Day 16: Breakfast at the hotel.
8:30 a.m. CITY TOUR, guided visits to the Temple of the Sun (Qoricancha) and the four archaeological sites near the city (Saqsayhuaman, Q'enko, Pukapukara and Tambomachay.
Day 17: Breakfast at the hotel.
6:00 a.m. Transfer to the train station for a full-day excursion to the citadel of Machu Picchu. Journey time about four hours. Tour includes shuttle bus to and from the ruins, entrance fees and lunch. Afternoon return to CUSCO. Overnight at hotel
Day 18: Breakfast at the hotel.
8:00 a.m. Excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas by tourist bus with guide to PISAQ, URUBAMBA, OLLANTAYTAMBO FORTRESS and CHINCHERO. Return to Cusco at about 6:00 p.m. Overnight at hotel.
Day 19: Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer from hotel to airport. Flight to PUERTO MALDONADO in the PERUVIAN RAINFOREST. Flight time approximately 30 minutes to 200 metres above sea level and average temperature of 34 degrees centigrade. Pick-up and two hour transfer by motorized canoe along the MADRE DE DIOS RIVER to the Albergue Amazónico, where you will be shown to your comfortable rooms in cabins with private bathrooms and hammocks. After lunch an excursion to MONKEY ISLAND by launch with a tour hour walking tour to see several species of monkey.
Evening meal and overnight at the lodge.
Day 20: Breakfast followed by a walk in the virgin forest with an expert guide in search of local fauna and flora to COCHA PERDIDA, where we may see giant otters, cayman and many bird species. Return to the lodge for a late lunch and a free afternoon before a typical jungle evening meal. Overnight at the lodge.
Day 21: Breakfast and transfer to Puerto Maldonado for flight to LIMA. Lunch in Lima.
5:00 p.m. Flight Lima to Quito (Not included)
10:00 p.m. Transfer from airport to hotel
Day 22: City tour of Quito visiting the principal attractions and the equatorial line. Evening meal and overnight at hotel.
Day 23: Quito/Galápagos. Transfer to airport for flight to the Galápagos Islands. Embark on yacht for 5 day/4 night cruise with all meals included, welcome cocktail. Visit Seymour island. Evening meal and overnight aboard yacht.
Day 24: Galápagos: Visit the island of San Cristóbal to observe bird life, iguanas and sealions. Lunch, then a visit to Española island. Evening meal and overnight aboard yacht.
Day 25: Galápagos: Breakfast onboard. Visit the island of Floreana, with white sandy beaches, pink flamingos. Then the island of Santa Fe to observe seals, iguanas, tortoises and many other unique species. Evening meal and overnight aboard yacht
Day 26: Galápagos: Breakfast onboard before visiting the island of Santa Cruz to see the giant tortoises. Lunch and then a visit to Charles Darwin Station. Evening meal and overnight aboard yacht
Day 27: Galápagos/Quito. Breakfast and the end of the tour. Flight from Galápagos to Quito. Transfer to hotel. Evening free. Overnight at hotel.
Day 28: Quito: Breakfast and transfer to airport for flight home.
